Pixie Jenkins
Pixie is a multiple Australian Country Music ‘Golden Guitar’ awards winner, and named as “the greatest fiddler Australia has produced” by John Williamson. His fiddle playing is uniquely Australian, and he’s one of the most recognisable artists in the industry. Pixie is also one of Australia’s most eclectic and talented entertainers, playing roots, bluegrass and Irish folk styles with incredible dexterity and finesse.
Pixie has been a support artist and toured and recorded for some of the biggest names in the world, Bob Dylan to Cher; Jimmy Barnes to John Williamson and has been a studio musician on the recordings of 100s of other artists.
Pixie is a Director of the Golden Fiddle Awards and an integral part of the Golden Fiddle Show, bringing amazing energy, storytelling and humour every year!
Andrew Clermont
Andrew Clermont is a chameleon multi-instrumental musician from Bluegrass to Indian, Scandinavian to Oldtime. Has toured with various genres of Australian and US country music and rubbed shoulders with the cools of jazz and classical.
He has played all over the world alongside the top names in music, is a three-time National Bluegrass Flat-pick Guitar Champion, and he shared in the Golden Guitar for ‘Losin’ My Blues Tonight’ in 1987.
Andrew’s International Supper Club in Tamworth has grown into a musical institution, and he sources world-class talent from his many world tours.
A Director of the Golden Fiddle Awards and an essential part of each year’s show, Andrew is a virtuoso on instruments as diverse as the fiddle, the mandolin and the didgeridoo.
Rachel Bostock
Rachel Bostock was a violinist and vocalist in the Aussie rock band The Bostocks, who won the Golden Fiddle Youth Achievement Award in 2006 and again in 2008, as well as best band, group ensemble or orchestra featuring a fiddler in 2011.
The group were nominated for Golden Guitar Awards and also took out Instrumental of the year at the Queensland Country Music Awards.
Rachel is channeling her talents into her solo career, preparing to release her own original music. This new chapter promises to showcase her exceptional artistry, passion and the unique style she has perfected over the years.
Robert Zielinksi
Robert was taught traditional Irish music from the older generation, first in Australia, and then on the west coast of Ireland, where he lived for 14 years from the age of 17.
One of his main mentors in Australia was Mick Doherty, nephew of the iconic Donegal travelling fiddle player, Johnny Doherty. A few years after his return to Australia, Robert moved to Torbay, making violins, including his own.
As soon as he had finished making his violin, this piece, ‘Minang Moon Lullaby’, came to light.
Rabbit Robinson
A flamboyant and versatile fiddle player and instrumentalist, Rabbit has featured in iconic Australian bands, including the Round Mountain Girls and The Gypsy Clovers. and was one of the first professional stage musicians to adopt the Epoch violin as his preferred instrument.
He is the founder of the Tweed District Youth Orchestra and creator of the online music venue, Rabbit’s Music Factory.
At the Golden Fiddle Awards at Tamworth, as well as being a regular show performer, he has won Lifetime Achievement award for excellence as a fiddler/contributor to the furthering of fiddle playing/teaching and Best Fiddle Teacher. The Round Mountain Girls won Best band, group, ensemble or orchestra featuring a fiddle, in both 2012 and 2013.
Ian Cooper
Concert and jazz violinist Ian Cooper and his bands are regular attractions at Jazz festivals and concert venues throughout Australia, Europe, Japan and New Zealand. Ian composed and performed the ‘Tin Symphony’ for the opening ceremony of the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000.
He has performed with Tommy Emmanuel, James Morrison and Barry White. The electric Epoch violin is one of his preferred stage instruments, and he often tests and provides feedback on new Epoch instruments.
As well as being a regular star on the Golden Fiddle Show, in 2005 he won the Golden Fiddle Award for Best CD by a fiddler as a solist, in 2006 he was awarded Best Fiddler, in the same year his Big Band won Best CD bya fiddler as soloist, in 2008, Best Fiddle Teacher, in 2014, Best Fiddler again and the Ian Cooper International Spectacular won Best band, group, ensemble or orchestra feating a fiddler.
